She made her breakthrough portraying Angamma in Paradesi (2013) a period film directed by Bala. In 2016 her Kannada film Shivalinga went on to become the one of the biggest blockbusters in the industry. she also made her Bollywood debut in 2019 with the film The Body which is a remake of Tamil movie Oru Melliya kodu / or the Spanish movie The Body.
